Please save the date for the GTA Quarterly General Meeting on Sunday, February 21, 2010, at the Raindrop Foundation in Richardson. We will commemorate the Gambia’s 45th Independence Day, by having a Comedy Hour (Tassu, Meyeh, Games, etc). All are welcome to participate and prizes will be awarded for the best...
We are also having a very informative Homebuyers’ Workshop in Collaboration with DFW International Alliance, and sponsored by Wells Fargo. Topics will include:First time homebuyers’ tax rebates - Economic stimulus tax rebates for second home purchases
How to purchase a foreclosed home - How to avoid losing your home to foreclosure
Construction and rehab of homes - Down payments - Closing costs - Interest rates
Subsidies that help purchase and keep a home - Repairs

The GTA is proud to announce the launching of its annual scholarship program. The program will award the sum of $500 to an eligible Gambian student residing in the State of Texas. The purpose of the scholarship is to provide eligible Gambian undergraduate students in need, with the ability to pursue their post-secondary higher education.
With continued support and commitment from the community, we hope to implement more programs like this, and to increase the amount of the scholarship in the future.
